This guide will walk you through the process of creating your match sessions in the PlayerData app.
Creating a match session

- Tap the green plus button and tap 'new session'
- Select the Date, time and type of session
- Use the date picker and time picker to select the date and time.
- Select the session type (match or training) and the time periods for the session using the time picker. Then tap save and continue.
- Next select the athletes that took part in the session.
- You can select all athletes, a group or individual by tapping their name.
- Tap save and continue

, assign the EDGE units that each athlete used in the session. Tap on the dropdown under the athlete’s name to see a list of available EDGE units for this session.
- Note: Athletes will automatically be assigned the EDGE unit they used in a previous session.You can use the Clear Assignments button to clear all the EDGE assignments on this page.
- If you want to assign EDGEs that haven’t been synced, uncheck the “Show only synced EDGEs” checkbox at the top to show all available EDGEs.
- If an EDGE has been used in another session at the same time as this one, it also won’t appear in the list for selection.
- When you’ve finished EDGE assignment, tap save and
continue to proceed.
- Next, tap the pitch your match session took place on.
- Pitch selection is required to generate heat maps and other tactical maps.
- If you have not set up a pitch tap 'create a new pitch'.
- The final screen in the process takes all the additional details about your session. Set the opponent’s name, the score, survey, tags and description.
- Hit save and finish to view your new session. You will then be taken to the overview page of your new session.
- To edit any part of your session tap the settings icon in the top right.
