Creating A Match Session

This guide will walk you through the process of creating your match sessions in the PlayerData app.

  1. Tap the green plus button and tap 'new session' 
  2. Select the Date, time and type of session 
    1. Use the date picker and time picker to select the date and time. 
  3. Select the session type (match or training) and the time periods for the session using the time picker.  Then tap save and continue. 
  4. Next select the  athletes that took part in the session. 
    1. You can select all athletes, a group or individual by tapping their name. 
  5. Tap save and continue
  6. NextEDGE Assignment,  assign the EDGE units that each athlete used in the session. Tap on the dropdown under the athlete’s name to see a list of available EDGE units for this session.
    1. Note: Athletes will automatically be assigned the EDGE unit they used in a previous session.You can use the Clear Assignments button to clear all the EDGE assignments on this page.
    2. If you want to assign EDGEs that haven’t been synced, uncheck the “Show only synced EDGEs” checkbox at the top to show all available EDGEs.
    3. If an EDGE has been used in another session at the same time as this one, it also won’t appear in the list for selection.
  7. When you’ve finished EDGE assignment, tap save andView Session Summary continue to proceed.
  8. Next, tap the pitch your match session took place on.
    1. Pitch selection is required to generate heat maps and other tactical maps. 
    2. If you have not set up a pitch tap 'create a new pitch'. 
  9. The final screen in the process takes all the additional details about your session. Set the opponent’s name, the score, survey, tags and description.
  10. Hit save and finish to view your new session. You will then be taken to the overview page of your new session. 

  11. To edit any part of your session tap the settings icon in the top right.
