Some solutions to possible issues encountered with an EDGE unit
EDGE unit not connecting to GPS
A unit displays an arrow icon and the LED indicator light "breathes" green when it's successfully connected to GPS. If there is no arrow icon and the LED indicator light is breathing red this means that there is no GPS connection.
It's normal for an EDGE being used for the first time to take a little longer to connect to GPS - anywhere up to 10 minutes. After this first successful connection it should be significantly shorter - below 2 minutes.
GPS signal is affected by your environment. This means the unit won't connect properly when indoors, you need to be outside to get a connection. If you are around tall buildings or in a stadium with high sides or a covering it can also take longer to connect reliably.
Contact support if you need further help connecting to GPS.
EDGE unit not charging
Check your EDGE unit firmware is up to date. Also check that the metal pins on the back of the EDGE unit are free from debris or anything that might stop the unit from making a good connection with the charging port. Repeat this check on the metal pins in the charging dock too.
EDGE battery indicator frozen
There is a known issue on an old version of EDGE firmware where the battery indicator does not change or show the unit is fully charged. Follow the instructions to update your EDGE unit to the latest firmware to fix.
Error M1
If you encounter this error message displaying on your EDGE unit a potential fix is to hold the EDGE unit power button down for 15 seconds. This resets the unit and should clear the message. If you continue to see this error please get in touch with support.
Blank screen & flashing blue light
If the EDGE unit screen does not turn on and the LED indicator is flashing blue it is likely that the batter in the unit needs revived after going too flat. This can happen after extended periods of not charging units.
Leave the EDGE unit on charge for at least 30 minutes and then reset the unit by holding the power button for 15 seconds. If this does not fix the issue please contact support.
