EDGE GPS Unit Basics
Get to know your EDGE GPS Units ahead of your first session
This guide is designed to help you get going as soon as you receive your kit. Ensure your units are charged up before commencing with the set up.
All EDGE Units are preassigned to your club and ready to use straight away.
Power Button
Remember to turn on your EDGE units outdoors — GPS doesn't work indoors
We recommend turning on your unit a few minutes before your session with a clear view of the sky to enable it to connect to global satellites.
- Press the Power button once to turn the unit on.
- Hold the Power button down for 3-4 seconds to switch off the unit.
Display
The display has a few helpful indicators:
- Number & Initials: You can assign initials and a 2-digit number to the display, so it's easier to keep track.
- Battery Indicator: The battery indicator shows the current battery level.
- GPS Indicator: The GPS indicator lets you know if there is a GPS connection. It won't be visible if there isn't one.
Side LED
- No light: EDGE GPS is off
- Flashing Blue: EDGE GPS is in the process of turning on
- Breathing Orange/Red :EDGE GPS is trying to find a GPS connection
- Breathing/Solid Green: EDGE GPS has a GPS connection and is recording data
- Solid Blue: Data transfer mode enabled
Side LED (when charging)
When plugged in to charge the Side LED will display:
- Solid Red: EDGE GPS is charging
- Solid Green: EDGE GPS is fully charged
