Create A Training Session (stepped session)

This guide will walk you through the process of creating your training sessions in the Playerdata app.

How to create a training session

  1. Tap the green plus icon in the bottom bar and open the create menu. Tap on tSession Setuphe “New Session” option in the list to enter the form.
  2. Now select the time the session started.You can then select the start date by either choosing a quick option or by tappingon the “choose a custom date” input box below. When you’ve selected the day, hit save and continue to proceed.
  3.  On the next screen select the session type and periods. On the drop down for session type select 'training'.  Next select the 'session length' element to show the duration selector and scroll until you reach the length in minutes of your session and then press save and continue.


  4. Now you assign the EDGE units that each athlete used in the session.
     EDGE Assignment
     
    1. Tap on the dropdown under the athlete’s name to see a list of available EDGE units for this session.
    2. Athletes will automatically be assigned the EDGE unit they used in a previous session. 
    3. You can use the Clear Assignments button to clear all the EDGE assignments on this page.
    4. When you’ve finished assigning your EDGE units, hit save and continue to proceed.

      Note: If you don’t see any EDGE units in the list, it usually means you haven’t performed an EDGE sync or that the session times are in the future. If you want to assign EDGEs that haven’t been synced, uncheck the “Show only synced EDGEs” checkbox at the top to show all available EDGEs.
  5. This next step only applies if you’re using PlayerData Connect.
    1. You can select the available Gateways that you want to use in this session. Tap the gateways you want to use in the list. When selected, they will show a green check next to their name.

      Note: You won’t see this screen if you have no Gateways available or if your session took place in the past.

  6.  The final screen in the process takes all the additional details about your session. For a training session you can attach a survey, tags and fill out a description. Hit save and finish to view your new session. You will then be taken to the overview page of your new session to view your data.
